so i didn’t win anything. and that’s cool. the winning shot is a pretty great shot, so i don’t have any problem with that. thanks to all of you who voted for my shots. i really appreciate it and i totally feel the love.
two quick observations from last night:
1) if you’re going to host an event somewhere and not include a map in the invite, just the address, please check to make sure that google knows where you are. i request this because google has no effing idea where the oasis center is. it THINKS it knows but it does not. we followed directions to TWO different places and both were wrong. some friends of ours were going to meet us there and their car navigation system couldn’t find it either. when we got there (hella late) another couple was just getting there as well and THEY had also been led completely astray. so. moral of the story – if google doesn’t know where you are, neither do your guests. provide a freaking map.
2) suzy wong’s house of yum is very delicious. i mean, amazing. everything we tried was wonderful and the service was great. it’s real dark in there… almost too dark to see the menu and the fake candles don’t flicker so much as blink rapidly which is distracting but the FOOD was wonderful. as was the sake. quite a wonderful experience. thanks, christy and kirsten, for the wonderful suggestions!
so yeah… go pick up a copy of the scene this week. i may not have won but my photos are in there alongside some other really great shots.
